On Oct 20 & 21, we participated in the Non-Profit Awareness Expo at Sunset Station Henderson, NV! This valuable expo focused on bringing awareness of the work that non-profits do in the community as well as connect them with important resources and services that support their needs.
Internet marketing for non-profits

SEO for non-profits

This whole experience was very heartwarming and exciting. We heard multiple amazing stories about people’s passion for improving their communities and how that led them to create their non-profit organizations. We were also eager to share our knowledge of Internet marketing and SEO (search engine optimization) with these newly formed non-profits.

Internet marketing advice for non-profits

During the “Ask an Expert” Q & A, Kellen Kautzman, owner and founder of Send It Rising, gave a detailed and thought-provoking presentation on Internet marketing and SEO to the non-profit organizations that attended.

Internet marketing presentation

Here are a few of the highlights from the presentation:

  • Kellen shared an example about how one of his websites—WhatEveryDogDeserves.com—leveraged SEO (search engine optimization), blogging, and social media to grow traffic to the website.
  • Kellen emphasized the importance of creating content and blogging. Content-rich blogging creates quality links to your website, which in turn helps you rank better in search engines like Google.
  • Blogs are not only about writing words. Visual content such as pictures and videos are very important too.
  • In today’s world, it’s easier than ever to create content! Smartphones have made taking pictures and recording video easier than ever!
  • When you do create content and publish blog posts, make sure to share them on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Kellen also recommended adding Google Analytics tracking to websites. This is how you can measure the results and impact of your hard work!
