We Planted a Garden at a Las Vegas Elementary School

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]People of the world! We had an absolute blast this last Saturday, despite the rain, at the Green Our Planet volunteer garden building event. We helped build a garden for the students of Cynthia Cunningham Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Green Our Planet is doing extraordinary work with planting gardens in Las Vegas schools in order to increase environmental awareness among young students and combat obesity. They’re using their awesome superpowers of green project funding and education to conserve, protect, and improve the environment! #UseYourSuperpower

We met up with the amazing cofounder of Green Our Planet, Kim MacQuarrie. Kim is an author, documentary filmmaker, anthropologist, and conservationist whose works include the best-selling The Last Days of the Incas (2007) and The Living Edens. His documentary film work has brought him 4 national Emmy awards.

We bumped into Kim at the Innevation Center here in Las Vegas in an elevator! Let that be a reminder to always to kind to one another!
